Description:

I am recruiting for a detail-oriented and proactive Fundraising Communications and Database Officer to join a well-known and respected British Charity based in Southwest London. I have been recruiting for this historic and iconic organisation for several years and they are thought of and respected so highly, they are a pleasure to work with and work for.

As they enter a new era, although located in Fundraising this new role will focus using more sophisticated and personalised fundraising, marketing and communications, this role is particularly important as we seek to encourage greater support from those participating in the outreach visiting on site and our website. This is a full-time role, working 41 hours with hybrid options.

Tasks this role will include:

Database Management:

Oversee the donor database, ensuring all entries are accurate, up-to-date, and free from duplications.
Maintain GDPR compliance across all database operations and handle data with the highest level of confidentiality.
Regularly audit the database to ensure data integrity and compliance with internal policies.
Interrogate and analyse data from other members of the team to support strategic and targeted individual programmes.
Financial Record Keeping

Ensure all financial records related to donations are accurately recorded and up to date.
Collaborate with the finance department to submit timely and accurate Gift Aid claims and other financial reporting.
Monitor and report on fundraising metrics and financial targets.
Manage and coordinate direct mailings and email campaigns to donors and prospects.
Support the team in writing compelling fundraising appeals and campaign materials as required.
Communication Support:

Act as a liaison between the fundraising and communications teams to ensure cohesive messaging.
Assist with copywriting and editing tasks as needed to support communication strategies.
General Duties

Respond to donor inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
Assist in planning and executing fundraising events and activities.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the fundraising and communications teams
To be considered for a possible interview, you will need the following skills and attributes:

Proven experience in database management, preferably with donor management software
Previous experience in fundraising, marketing, or communications within a charity.
Familiarity with GDPR regulations and compliance
Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and donor management software.
Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Creative thinking and problem-solving skills
