Functional Skills Tutor - Anglesey
Are you an experienced Functional Skills Tutor looking for flexible work? Prospero Teaching want to hear from you!
The Opportunity
Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting Functional Skills Tutors to provide personalised 1:1 tuition to learners across Anglesey.
You will support students working towards Functional Skills qualifications in English and/or Maths, helping them develop essential literacy and numeracy skills alongside their confidence and independence.
The sessions will be tailored to each learner's individual starting point and educational goals.
Position Details:
Location: Anglesey
Position: Functional Skills Tutor
Hours: 5-15 hours per week
Start Date: September 2026
Duration: Ongoing
Experience, Training and Qualifications:
Experience delivering Functional Skills English and/or Maths
Previous teaching or tutoring experience
Strong subject knowledge
A flexible and learner-focused approach
Experience supporting learners with gaps in education would be beneficial
To be eligible for this role, you must:
Hold the Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional references
