Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistants to join welcoming and inclusive schools in the area of Cambridge. The Role

This position will involve a combination of:

1:1 SEND Support

Providing tailored support to pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Supporting pupils with learning, communication, social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
Implementing strategies outlined in Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
Encouraging independence, confidence, and self-esteem.
Monitoring progress and providing feedback to teachers and the SENCO.
Adapting resources and learning activities to meet individual needs.
Supporting pupils during transitions, breaktimes, and enrichment activities where required.

General Teaching Assistant Duties

Assisting the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom organisation.
Supporting small group and whole-class learning activities.
Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
Assisting with displays, resources, and general classroom administration.
Supporting assessment activities and pupil progress tracking.
Supervising pupils during activities, educational visits, and school events when required.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must:

Have a minimum of 1 year's experience working in UK schools.
Hold a recognised Teaching Assistant qualification and/or demonstrate significant relevant school-based experience.
Have a passion for supporting children's learning and development.
Possess excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Be able to provide references covering recent educational or childcare employment.
Hold an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service, or be willing to apply and pay for one through Teaching Personnel.
