Teaching Personnel are working with a secondary school near St Austell, who are looking for a full-time Teaching Assistant, starting in September. We are looking for an applicant who is enthusiastic, motivated, and an excellent communicator. This role will become a permanent position for the right individual.
We are looking for someone who has a minimum of grade C and above in English, Maths and Science, although higher education is beneficial to the role. Educators should have attributes including professionalism, and the ability to support the teacher within the classroom setting, across varied lessons. Knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 curriculum is advantageous, however, additional training will be provided.
Applicants with previous experience in roles such as Youth Work, Care Work and Support Work are encouraged to get in touch, as these roles frequently have skills which are transferrable to a classroom environment.
Individuals will need to have a Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service prior to being placed in a school, however, assistance can be provided with this during the registration process. Knowledge of policies including Child Protection, Health and Safety, Behaviour, Equal Opportunities, and Teaching and Learning is crucial to the role, therefore, candidates will be offered a two-week fully paid induction, where all training for the role will be provided.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
