A new, exciting opportunity has opened with one of my most exciting clients!
Currently in Stealth Mode, my client is about to go into hyper-growth having, and is looking to bring on a Front End Developer & UI/UX Designer.
NB: This is not 2 roles, merely a combination of front-end development and design.
This means that the successful candidate will have strong coding abilities, matched with an eye for UI/UX design, being proficient with technologies such as JavaScript, React, and Angular, as well as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, giving them creative freedom and versatility within their station.
As a member of the development team, you will support the delivery of cutting-edge websites and contribute to shaping our departmental strategy. What you'll be doing:
Developing, designing, and coding industry-leading medical commercial websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Building and maintaining high-quality code
Taking responsibility for the code development, testing, and maintenance
Working closely with the team to enhance project efficiency
Functioning in a sprint manner, focusing on areas where you have mastered expertise and experience
Collaborating with other engineers
Core Technologies and Requirements:

Understanding of SEO and page speed best practices

Developing and maintaining design systems for consistency and coherence across projects
Experience mentoring other engineers as needed
Essentials:
A Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design (Master's degree preferred), UX/UI Design, Interaction Design, or a related field, or relevant career experience
A compelling portfolio demonstrating proficiency in wireframing, prototyping, and design tools
A deep understanding of design methodologies to exceed user expectations and create exceptional experiences
Staying updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement in UX design processes
Demonstrated high-quality UI & UX development and front-end coding through profiles and references
Graphic design skills
Effective collaboration with full stack front and backend developers to translate requirements into manageable components/tasks, estimate timings and resources, suggest solutions, and identify possible risks
Specifying, designing, and implementing components that are efficient, reusable, accessible, and well-abstracted
Building comprehensive unit, integration, and functional test coverage using automated test-driven techniques to ensure code quality
Developing and understanding wireframes and prototypes
Collaborating with cross-functional teams on refining processes, defining acceptance criteria, and participating in retrospectives
Learning new technologies and applying them to various projects as applicable
Contributing to in-house coding style and style guides
Excellent JavaScript skills - both bespoke authored and use of 3rd party libraries
Desirables:
Experience designing complex, interactive, transactional, enterprise-level expert systems
Knowledge of, and strong demonstrated interest in, global markets or medical products
