Full Time | Monday - Friday
A well-established freight forwarding business based in Portsmouth is looking to recruit an experienced Multimodal Freight Forwarder to join their team. This is a hands-on, end-to-end role, ideal for someone who enjoys managing shipments from start to finish.
The Role:
You'll be responsible for handling the full freight forwarding process across air, sea, and road movements. This includes everything from initial quotation through to final invoicing, giving you full ownership of each shipment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Managing shipments from start to finish across multimodal services
* Producing accurate quotations and following up with customers
* Preparing documentation including airway bills and bills of lading
* Completing customs entries and ensuring compliance
* Arranging transport and monitoring deliveries
* Sending PODs and completing invoicing
* Labelling and coordinating freight movements
* Providing a high level of customer service throughout
What We're Looking For:
* Experience within a UK freight forwarding environment
* Strong knowledge across air, sea, and road freight
* Confident handling shipments end-to-end
* Familiar with customs processes and documentation
* Must be based locally
* Experience working for a UK Freight forwarder - essential
