Freight Forwarder
South Kent
21k - 27k DOE
Monday - Friday
9:00am - 5:00pm
My client is looking for a Freight Forwarder to join their team! If you have previous experience as a Freight Forwarder or a similar role, and are looking to join a reputable company, then LOOK NO FURTHER!
The ideal candidate will preferably have prior experience in the freight industry and ideally with a forwarding and logistics background.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Obtaining rates from suppliers and issuing quotations and answering general enquiries relating to air, sea and road import and export movements.
Organising and coordinating the international movement and delivery of goods for our customers.
Monitoring shipments to ensure goods are loaded to expected flights/vessels, and update customers.
Communicating with customers in order to determine their service requirements.
Instructing suppliers on the completion of Bills of Lading and Air waybills, and checking documents for accuracy prior to departure
Liaising with suppliers to ensure that customer requirements are communicated and met.
Ensure that all administration (including pricing and costing) is completed accurately.
Ensure that all information is input on to the system accurately.
Administrative tasks as required.
Experience Required:
Experience/exposure to freight forwarding, ideally within sea freight or air freight environments.
