Freight Forwarder - Bristol - Up to £28,000
Our client is seeking an experienced Freight Forwarding Operations Coordinator to join their growing team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity for a freight forwarding professional to become part of a dynamic logistics business and make an immediate impact within a busy operational environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating multi-modal freight movements, managing customer relationships, and ensuring shipments are handled efficiently from booking through to final delivery.

Key Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate road, air, and sea freight shipments.
Book freight with shipping lines, overseas agents, hauliers, and other transport providers.
Deliver exceptional customer service by tracking shipments and providing regular updates to clients.
Handle import and export customs clearance processes where required.
Create and manage transport orders, negotiate rates, and process invoices.
Monitor and maximise profit margins across customer accounts and shipments.
Ensure all operational activities are completed accurately and within agreed timescales.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
Candidate Requirements
Previous experience within a UK freight forwarding operation.
Strong understanding of transport, freight forwarding, and global logistics processes.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Strong commercial awareness and negotiation abilities.
Ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
Strong IT skills and the ability to quickly learn new systems.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
Experience within multimodal freight forwarding operations.
