Freelance Site Manager

Description:

Unite People are working with an construction contractor to hire a Freelance Site Manager for a small project in Sheffield.

You will be working on an initial scheme in Nottingham working on minor refurbishment of building internals overseeing trades staff doing decorating, decorations, floor finishes, stud partitions, minor M&E works, security and fire alarms of an existing building.

Responsibilities:

As a Construction Site Manager, you will be responsible for:

* Manage all aspects of construction on site through to completion, ensuring adherence to design specifications, safety regulations, and project time-lines.

* Lead and motivate on-site teams, including subcontractors.

* Monitor project budgets and costs, identifying and addressing any potential issues.

* Enforce and promote strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations. Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to maintain a safe work environment.

* Serve as a primary point of contact between the company and clients. Provide regular updates on project progress, address concerns, and ensure overall client satisfaction.

* Develop and maintain project program

Required experience and qualifications:

* CSCS Card, SMSTS & First Aid

* Asbestos Awareness (Preferable)

* Proven experience as a Construction Site Manager with a successful track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

* Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams.

* In-depth knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and quality control measures.

* Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

* Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

* Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
