Freelance Site Manager – Social Housing (Kitchen & Bathroom Programme)
Location: East London
Contract: Freelance (Long-Term)
Start: Immediate
We are seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager to join our team on a long-term social housing refurbishment programme across street properties in East London, working for a well-established main contractor.
Reporting directly to the Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing a programme of occupied kitchen and bathroom replacement works, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day site operations across occupied street properties.
*
Oversee subcontractors and direct labour to ensure works are completed in line with programme targets.
*
Maintain high standards of health and safety, ensuring full site compliance.
*
Liaise with residents, client representatives, and the Contracts Manager to provide excellent customer service throughout the programme.
*
Monitor quality, productivity, and progress across multiple properties.
*
Carry out site inspections and ensure all documentation and reports are completed accurately.
*
Coordinate works to minimise disruption to residents while maintaining programme delivery.
Requirements:
*
Proven experience as a Site Manager delivering social housing refurbishment projects.
*
Previous experience managing occupied kitchen and bathroom replacement programmes is essential.
*
Experience working across dispersed street properties is highly desirable.
*
Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and quality standards.
*
Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
*
Ability to manage multiple trades and coordinate works across several occupied properties.
*
Valid SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid at Work certificates.
