Description:
My client is seeking an experienced Site Manager with a valid Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) ticket to oversee a high-profile refurbishment project in Central London. The successful candidate will manage the day-to-day on-site operations, ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a strong understanding of temporary works and the ability to coordinate and manage all site activities effectively.
- **Project Management:**
- Oversee all on-site activities and ensure the refurbishment project is executed according to the project plan.
- Develop and implement detailed project schedules and work plans.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and site staff.
- **Temporary Works Management:**
- Manage all temporary works on-site, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of temporary works.
- Maintain accurate records of temporary works designs, approvals, and inspections.
- **Health & Safety:**
- Ensure all site activities adhere to health and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular site safety inspections and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Promote a culture of safety and ensure all workers are aware of site safety procedures.
- **Quality Control:**
- Monitor work quality and ensure it meets the specified standards.
- Address any quality issues promptly and effectively.
- Ensure all materials and workmanship are in accordance with project specifications.
- **Communication & Coordination:**
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Facilitate regular site meetings to discuss progress, issues, and changes.
- Provide regular project updates and reports to senior management.
#### **Qualifications and Experience:**
- **Essential:**
- Valid Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) ticket.
- Proven experience as a Site Manager on refurbishment projects.
- Strong knowledge of temporary works management and relevant regulations.
- Excellent understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- **Desirable:**
- Relevant construction management qualification (e.g., NVQ, HNC, or degree in construction management or a related field).
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification.
- First Aid at Work certification.
