Freelance Site Manager (Build)
Start: 20th May
Duration: 30 Weeks
Location: Redcar
My Client are a Yorkshire based Build Contractor that work in the Yorkshire and Northeast Regions. They are looking to appoint a Freelance Site Manager for a New Build retail project in the Redcar area.
Scope of Works
• New Build Retail/Supermarket project with associated Car Park
• Groundworks, Steel Frame, Brick and Block, External Works, Internal Fit-Out
The Role:
• Site Manager / Number 1 on site reporting to a Contracts Manager
• Responsible for daily management of site activities
• Site Engineer / Foreman as direct reports
• Implementing programme and producing short term look-aheads
• Ensuring milestones are met in line with programme and budget
• Maintain excellent health & safety standard throughout lifecycle of project
• Regular liaison with commercial team
• Client meetings
• Review RAMS and Method Statements
The Candidate:
• Freelance Site Manager / Senior Site Manager from a Construction Background
• CSCS / SMSTS / First Aid are all essential for the position
• Strong leader and decision maker
• Excellent communication both written and verbal
• Ideally experience in new build retail (Aldi / Lidl / B&M etc)
• Confident in running project as Number 1 on site up £5m project Value
