About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced, commercially minded Marketing Strategy Consultant to work directly with the business owners of this growing housing and property support business to define their marketing direction, strengthen our brand positioning and establish a foundation for long-term growth.
They have identified several marketing and social media opportunities and are looking for an experienced strategist to help develop a clear, focused strategy aligned with their business objectives.
The project will include developing a marketing and social media roadmap, identifying priority audiences and decision-makers, recommending the most effective channels and defining the requirements for a future permanent marketing role.
Their focus is on reaching the right audiences and supporting business development, reputation and stakeholder engagement, rather than simply increasing followers or online engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Understand the business, its objectives and commercial priorities.
Define brand positioning, messaging and marketing strategy.
Develop a practical 12-month marketing and social media roadmap.
Identify target audiences, stakeholders and appropriate marketing channels.
Review existing ideas and prioritise marketing opportunities.
Recommend approaches to digital marketing, content and video.
Define the capabilities required for the future marketing function.
Develop a permanent marketing job specification, including responsibilities and measures of success. About You
You will have proven experience in marketing strategy, brand development and social media planning, with the ability to translate business objectives into practical recommendations.
Can work on a freelance/consultancy basis, with varying days/hours of work
You will be commercially aware, confident working directly with business owners and able to develop clear strategies that deliver meaningful business outcomes.
Experience in housing, social housing, supported living, property or the charity sector would be advantageous, particularly where you have worked with public-sector stakeholders. However, strong strategic experience from other sectors will also be considered.
Engagement and Deliverables This is a standalone consultancy project focused on strategy, recommendations and planning, rather than ongoing social media management or content production.
The expected outputs include a clear marketing strategy, brand positioning recommendations, a 12-month roadmap, prioritised marketing activities and a proposed permanent marketing role.
The scope, duration and deliverables will be agreed upfront. The project can be delivered remotely, with meetings arranged as required.
