Freelance Building Surveyor – School Condition Surveys
Location: Nottingham (site-based with home working)
Rate: £350 per day (all-inclusive)
Contract: Freelance | Outside IR35

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Freelance Building Surveyor to support a programme of condition surveys across a portfolio of schools in the Nottingham area.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established project delivering condition surveys on education assets, with a combination of site inspections and home-based report writing.

The RoleYou will be responsible for carrying out condition surveys of school buildings, recording defects and asset information using KyKloud, before completing and finalising written condition reports from home.

The role offers a good balance of site work and remote working, however surveyors must be comfortable producing high-quality written reports, as report completion forms a key part of the assignment.

Responsibilities
Undertake condition surveys across a portfolio of school buildings.
Record survey data accurately using KyKloud.
Assess the condition of building fabric and identify maintenance requirements.
Produce clear, concise written condition reports following each survey.
Complete report writing remotely from home to agreed quality standards and timescales.Requirements
Experience carrying out building condition surveys.
Enhanced DBS
Previous surveying experience within schools or other public sector property portfolios is advantageous.
Proficient in using KyKloud for data capture.
Strong report writing skills with the ability to produce professional, well-structured condition reports independently.
Degree qualified in Building Surveying or a related discipline.
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.Package
