Freelance Build Clerk of Works

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Freelance Build Clerk of Works to oversee a modular building project located in Skegness. As the Clerk of Works, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of the project by maintaining quality standards, monitoring construction progress, and conducting inspections.

Responsibilities:

* Conduct regular inspections of the modular construction site to ensure compliance with building regulations, specifications, and quality standards.

* Document and report any deviations from plans, specifications, or regulations to the project manager and relevant stakeholders.

* Monitor the construction progress and provide regular updates to the project team.

* Verify that materials and workmanship meet the required standards and specifications.

* Collaborate with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to address any issues or concerns promptly.

* Provide guidance and support to the project team on technical matters related to construction and building regulations.

* Maintain detailed records of inspections, observations, and any corrective actions taken.

Requirements:

* Previous experience as a Clerk of Works or similar role in construction projects.

* In-depth knowledge of building regulations, construction methods, and industry standards.

* Strong attention to detail and ability to identify deviations from plans and specifications.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

* Proficiency in conducting site inspections and preparing detailed reports.

* Relevant qualifications in construction, engineering, or a related field would be advantageous.

Location: Skegness, United Kingdom

Schedule: Part-time (2 days a week)
