Location: Essex (Mobile Across 4 School Sites)
Day Rate: Competitive (DOE)
The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Passive Fire Working Supervisor to join a growing passive fire contractor on a summer school contract across Essex. The contract runs from 20th July through to 31st August 2026, covering FRA passive fire works across 4 school sites throughout Essex, with the possibility of longer term work beyond the initial contract for the right candidate.
This is a mobile, hands-on role suited to someone who is comfortable working on the tools when required whilst also guiding and supervising operatives across multiple live school sites.
The Role
As Working Supervisor, you will guide and oversee operatives delivering passive fire works across 4 school sites in Essex during the summer holiday period. You will be expected to be hands-on when needed, working alongside the team to maintain pace and quality, whilst taking responsibility for standards and site compliance throughout the programme.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and guide operatives delivering passive fire works across 4 school sites in Essex
* Be hands-on and work on the tools when required to support the team and maintain programme
* Ensure all works are completed safely, compliantly and to the required quality standard
* Oversee fire stopping and fire door works across multiple live school sites
* Coordinate site activities and operatives across a mobile, multi-site contract
* Carry out quality checks and inspections of completed works
* Liaise professionally with school contacts and the client throughout the contract
* Maintain accurate site records and ensure all documentation is completed correctly
* Ensure health and safety standards are maintained across all sites at all times
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience in passive fire protection — fire stopping and fire doors essential
* Experience supervising or leading operatives on site
* Comfortable working on the tools when required — this is a working supervisor role
* Ability to work across multiple sites in a mobile capacity across Essex
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* SSSTS or SMSTS — desirable
* CSCS Card — required
* First Aid — desirable
* Full UK Driving Licence and own vehicle — required
