Our client is now looking for a FRA Supervisor.
Position Summary: The FRA (Fire Risk Assessment) Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the fire risk assessment processes to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations and standards. This role involves managing a team of assessors, conducting detailed inspections, and providing comprehensive reports on fire risks. The FRA Supervisor plays a critical role in enhancing fire safety within various facilities, ensuring all potential fire hazards are identified and mitigated.
Key Responsibilities:
* Team Management: Lead and supervise a team of fire risk assessors, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure high-quality assessments.
* Fire Risk Assessments: Conduct and oversee thorough fire risk assessments for residential, commercial, and industrial properties, identifying potential fire hazards and risks.
* Compliance Assurance: Ensure all assessments comply with current fire safety regulations, standards, and best practices, updating procedures as necessary to align with any changes in legislation.
* Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on fire risk assessments, including recommendations for risk mitigation and safety improvements. Ensure reports are clear, accurate, and delivered in a timely manner.
* Client Liaison: Maintain effective communication with clients, addressing their concerns, providing updates on assessment progress, and advising on fire safety measures.
* Continuous Improvement: Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement of fire risk assessment processes and team performance.
* Training and Development: Provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge in fire safety and risk assessment.
* Emergency Response: Assist in developing and implementing emergency response plans and procedures, ensuring readiness for fire-related emergencies.
Qualifications:
* Education: Bachelor's degree in fire safety, engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications in fire risk assessment and safety are preferred.
* Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in fire risk assessment or fire safety, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
* Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of fire safety regulations, codes, and standards. Familiarity with fire prevention and protection systems.
* Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and proficient in report writing and documentation.
* Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail to identify and assess fire risks accurately.
* Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to develop effective fire risk mitigation strategies.
Work Environment: The FRA Supervisor will primarily work on-site, conducting fire risk assessments and supervising field activities. Occasional office-based work will be required for report writing and administrative tasks. The role may involve travel to various locations depending on the client and project requirements
