Description:
Fabulous opportunity for a part qualified accountant ACA, CIMA, ACCA to work as an integral memeber of a small team supporting this global manufacturing business with commercial analysis and business partnering. This role is commercially focused, centred around the sales and marketing divisions. You will be a confident communicator who is able to support non-finance colleagues and challenge the status quo. You will be have excellent IT skills across ERP systems and have advanced Excel.
Core duties include:
* Efficiently compile all month-end financial data to meet strict deadlines, ensuring accurate results.
* Deliver weekly flash reports and forecasts, accompanied by comprehensive financial analyses highlighting key drivers of changes.
* Coordinate budgeting processes, guiding team members to meet established timelines.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to comprehend variances and devise improvement strategies.
* Adhere to corporate reporting standards and meet designated deadlines.
* Analyze data and reports to detect trends and opportunities for business enhancement.
* Ensure the accuracy and high quality of reporting to facilitate informed decision-making.
* Assist in optimizing cash collection processes and promptly escalate overdue invoice issues when necessary
Controls & Compliance:
* Contribute to internal control assessment reviews within the plant.
* Conduct ad-hoc and quarterly balance sheet reviews.
* Participate in SOX procedures and controls assessment.
* Provide support during external and internal audit processes.
* Uphold compliance with global financial policies, including adherence to US GAAP and local reporting standards.
The requirement:
* Proficient in financial and managerial accounting.
* Holds a recognized financial or accounting qualification.
* Experienced with ERP systems like SAP, or similar platforms.
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.).
* Capable of identifying and promoting best practices.
* Effective communicator across all levels.
* Strong time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
