FP&A & Strategic Finance Lead
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercially minded and ambitious FP&A & Strategic Finance Lead to play a pivotal role in a high-growth, aerospace innovative business. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will act as a trusted strategic partner to senior leadership, driving financial planning, performance analysis and key business decision-making.
This is a highly visible, hands-on position that offers the opportunity to shape and build a scalable FP&A function from the ground up. Initially operating as an individual contributor, the role is expected to evolve into a leadership position as the business continues its growth journey.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and enhance scalable FP&A processes, systems and reporting capabilities to support business growth.
Build and maintain a robust framework for KPI tracking, performance monitoring and business insights.
Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process across the organisation.
Manage reforecasting activities and long-term financial planning.
Own cash flow forecasting, liquidity management and working capital planning.
Deliver insightful monthly reporting, variance analysis and financial performance reviews.
Partner closely with the CFO and leadership team to support strategic decision-making.
Drive cross-functional business partnering across operations, engineering, supply chain and commercial teams.
Prepare board-level reporting, presentations and financial analysis.
Support fundraising initiatives, investor reporting and due diligence processes.
Establish finance as a trusted and value-adding partner throughout the business.
About You
Qualified finance professional with 5+ years' experience in FP&A, Strategic Finance, Corporate Finance, Consulting, Investment Banking or a similar analytical environment.
Experience within a high-growth, technology-led, engineering, manufacturing or industrial business would be highly advantageous.
Strong understanding of manufacturing economics, working capital, inventory management and cash flow.
Proven experience operating within fast-paced, scaling organisations.
Advanced financial modelling and Excel skills.
Experience implementing or optimising FP&A systems, reporting tools and automation solutions.
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
