Social Worker – Fostering
Grimsby
Up to £43,000
I am looking for an experienced Fostering Social Worker to join a brilliant fostering agency which is proud of its ‘good’ rating with Ofsted and is committed to providing a therapeutic fostering service. The post is based in Grimsby and you will be covering the North Lincolnshire area.
In this role you will:
* Promote and safeguard children’s welfare within quality family placements
* Undertake the recruitment, approval, training and support functions related to foster carers
* Ensure that carers provide a safe and nurturing environment for children/young people, by continually monitoring the carers’ suitability and competence
For this post you must have:
* Diploma in Social Work (or equivalent) with SWE registration
* Minimum of 1 years post-qualifying experience working in a fostering service with good working knowledge of Child Protection procedures
* Experience and working knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance including; Children Act, Working Together, Every Child Matters, Care Standards Act, Fostering Regulations, and Care Planning
* The ability to travel to Doncaster Head Office on a regular basis
* Willingness to be part of an on-call rota and work flexibly as and when required
