Job Title: Forklift Operative
Job Type: Temporary to Permanent
Location: Henlow
Hourly rate: £13.50 per hour
Hours: Mon - Fri, 6am-2pm & 2pm-10pm (Rotational)
Our well known client based in Henlow are looking for a Forklift Operative to join their fast growing team, on a Temp to Perm basis. The successful candidate must be enthusiastic, keen to learn, and have strong ability to work on their feet in a fast paced environment.
In this diverse role, you will be responsible for supporting production, from operating machinery, to assisting with goods in/out and forklift driving.
Main responsibilities for a Forklift Operative are:
- Forklift driving (Counterbalance)
- Maintaining materials in factory
- Taking pallets of finished goods to warehouse
- Removing/collecting moulds for shifts
- Emptying waste skips into compactor
- Completing daily forklift checks once for each shift
- Removing full liquid/solid waste drums from factory to chemical compound
- Helping with mould changes
- Covering breaks along Production lines
Key skills as a Production Forklift Operative:
- Ability to work with enthusiasm and care
- Good dexterity and experience working with hand, air and power tools
- Reliable and self motivated
- Team work is essential
- Good level of fitness as heavy lifting is involved (able to lift up to 20kg)
- Valid Counterbalance licence
