Job Title: Forklift Driver/ Metal Section Cutter
Hours: Monday to Friday 07:00-16:00
Pay Rate: £14.00ph/£15.00ph (dependent on experience)

Workforce staffing are looking for forklift driver with metal cutting experience to join a growing manufacturing company in Birmingham. Your primary responsibilities will include maneuvering forklifts with precision to transport materials within the facility and operating metal cutting machinery to meet production targets. Your contribution will be instrumental in maintaining the seamless flow of the production process.
Ideal candidates will possess a valid forklift license and have previous experience in metal cutting. A strong understanding of health and safety regulations is essential, ensuring all tasks are performed with the utmost care and compliance. Your ability to work efficiently under minimal supervision, coupled with your keen attention to detail, will be key to your success in this role.
Duties:
- Operating Counterbalance forklift
- carrying steel sections/ beams with forklift.
- loading materials onto cutting machine.
- cut sections to length
- move steel sections around work shop.
- use measuring tape
- read basic engineering drawings
Required skills and experience:
- Proven experience operating forklifts
- Experience with metal cutting equipment and techniques
- Valid counterbalance license
- Familiarity with health and safety standards in a manufacturing environment
- Excellent coordination and time management skills
- Ability to read basic engineering drawings
- Strong communication skills and a team player mindset
