Job Type: Temp - Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: 40 hours per week

Shift Pattern

Working Monday to Friday on a rotating double-day shift pattern:

Week 1: 6:00am – 2:00pm
Week 2: 10:00am – 6:00pm
Pay Rate: £14.86 per hour

The Role

We are currently recruiting for a Material Handler / FLT Driver to join a busy production environment on a permanent, full-time basis. This is a varied role where you'll play a key part in ensuring production lines are supplied with materials, stock is accurately managed, and operations run efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Liaise with the Team Leader and Procurement team to understand daily production requirements and prepare materials accordingly.
Carry out shift walk-rounds at the start of each shift, ensuring all production areas have the materials required.
Maintain stocks of consumables and disposable items, ensuring production is fully supported, including increased stock levels ahead of weekend production.
Prepare and maintain core stock, cutting cores to the correct sizes and quantities, while monitoring stock levels throughout the day.
Carry out daily safety checks on clamp trucks, ensuring they are charged, safe to use, and reporting any defects.
Supply raw materials to production lines and accurately record stock issues using the ERP system.
Accurately locate, move and record stock movements within the ERP system.
Assist with stock takes, stock reconciliations and inventory accuracy.
Operate balers as required to minimise waste.
Support production by understanding machine performance, output and material requirements.
Resolve day-to-day issues proactively, escalating where appropriate.
Work closely with Production, Quality, Engineering, Innovation and other departments to ensure smooth operations.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Previous warehouse experience.
A valid Forklift Truck (FLT) licence.
Good computer skills, including a basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Excellent attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Confidence to identify, question and resolve issues.
A flexible, proactive approach with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
