Fork Truck Driver / Warehouse Material Handler

Location: Aycliffe
Contract: 6 months/ Ongoing
Hours: 39 hours per week - Rotating 3-Shift Pattern (Mornings, Afternoons & Nights)
Pay Rate: Up to £18.46 per hour (inclusive of shift allowance)

Overtime available , OT rates £26.18- £33.91 ph

We are currently recruiting for an experienced and licensed Fork Truck /PIV Driver / Warehouse/Material Handler to join a busy and fast-paced warehouse operation in Aycliffe. This is an ongoing opportunity for reliable candidates with proven warehouse experience and valid forklift licences.

Please Note:

Applicants MUST hold valid licences and have practical experience operating:

Reach Truck
Counterbalance Truck
ManriderLicences and experience are mandatory. - The client may consider candidates with in-house licences.

The Role

As a Warehouse /Material Handler, you will play a key role in supporting warehouse operations, ensuring customer orders are processed accurately and efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate PIV equipment including Reach, Counterbalance and Manrider trucks
Receive and interpret customer orders to identify picking requirements
Verify stock availability and accuracy
Pick, prepare and package customer orders to specification
Label, organise and prepare goods for shipment
Load and unload vehicles including trucks and other transport equipment
Move materials safely throughout the warehouse
Maintain accurate records of inbound and outbound shipments
Input shipment and product data into SAP and other systems
Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve operational targets

Essential Requirements

Valid PIV licences for Reach, Counterbalance and Manrider trucks
Proven experience operating warehouse lifting equipment
Previous warehouse or material handling experience
SAP experience
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Ability to work rotating morning, afternoon and night shifts
Team player with a positive, can-do attitude

Desirable Skills

1-2 years' warehouse or material handling experience
Basic computer and data entry skills
