Location: Moat Barn Forest School, Hasketon, Woodbridge, IP13 6JW

Salary: £12.00+ per hour

Hours: Monday to Friday Full-time (38 - 40 hours per week + overtime)

Our Nursery

Moat Barn Forest School is located on acres of beautiful secure grounds with easy assess and parking. We offer a full outdoor learning experience for children aged 3-5 years, based in the heart of the Suffolk countryside. The facilities and surrounding are very unique as the nursery is in a beautiful rural setting yet still, only 3 miles from Woodbridge and only 20 minutes from Ipswich town centre.

The nursery has recently been bought by new owners who are investing heavily in the facilities, the staff team and, the learning environment for children. This is an opportunity to join an exciting setting with a real focus on staff development and on delivering the highest quality of childcare possible. We are looking for proactive professionals who want to add value by introducing new idea and challenging the status quo.

We strive to develop our children's confidence and self-esteem through learner inspired hands on experiences in the natural setting / environment. Our forest school has a developmental ethos shared and we deliver the full EYFS curriculum outdoor. This makes the setting highly unique and the day nursery of choice fir Suffolk. We strive to further develop children’s Knowledge gathering, develop socially, emotionally, spiritually, physically and intellectually.

We have a dedicated team of staff, whose enthusiasm and commitment is demonstrated when working with the children. Our last Ofsted inspection was August 2018 . The nursery was graded as Outstanding.

Forest School Leader Essential Criteria:

Level 3 Forest School trained

This is an exciting and fulfilling role that incorporates lots of variety.

As a Forest School Practitioner, you will need to be confident in speaking to parents, understand the principles of Forest play, work well within a team and communicate effectively with others. As part of the team, we will offer training and personal development.

Forest School Leader Roles and Responsibilities:

* To provide a high standard of care to all children

* To promote the principles and ethos of our Forest School

* To strive to understand the policies and procedures in place for the Forest School and to actively seek out help, advice, and support from more senior members of staff

* To be involved in all aspects of the day to day running of our Forest School, including cleaning.

* To be a reliable member of the Moat Barn Forest school team, working cooperatively and flexibly whilst fulfilling a range of tasks across our Nursery

* To have a general understanding that every child is different and so are their needs

* To have a desire and self-motivation to learn and understand child development

* To observe each child’s progress and consider their next steps developmentally

* To be involved in developing positive relationships with parents/carers and outside agencies with support from Senior staff

* To work productively with colleagues

* To assist with the supervision of children whilst playing and learning – both inside and outside

* To assist with the supervision of children whilst they are eating and sleeping
