Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 (Negotiable) + Package

Our client is a long-established civil engineering contractor delivering groundworks, drainage and reinforced concrete packages across the Midlands and South East. Working with repeat clients across the commercial, education and infrastructure sectors, they have built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects safely and on programme. Typical project values range from £1m to £5m.
About the Opportunity
Due to a growing workload and a strong pipeline of secured projects, our client is looking to appoint an experienced Foreman to oversee works on a commercial and education project based in Solihull.
This role would suit someone with a strong background in groundworks and civil engineering who enjoys leading site teams, driving programme and maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
Roles & Responsibilities
* Managing operatives and subcontractors on your section of works
* Coordinating day-to-day site activities to ensure programme targets are achieved
* Allocating work and supervising site teams
* Monitoring productivity, quality and workmanship
* Ensuring all works are carried out safely and in accordance with company procedures
* Liaising with the Site Manager, Engineers and subcontractors to resolve site issues
* Maintaining accurate site records and reporting progress
About the Requirements
* Previous experience working as a Foreman on UK groundworks and civil engineering projects
* Experience delivering commercial, education or public sector projects
* Strong technical understanding of groundworks, drainage and external works
* Excellent leadership and communication skills
* Ability to build strong working relationships with site teams and subcontractors
* SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid (preferred)
