The Foreman Role

I'm working with a contractor who are highly thought of in the industry, they have an opening for a Foreman to join their team and work on projects across the Severn Trent region. If you've got ambitions to progress in your career then this is definitely a business that can support your aim.

This is a single Foreman role that the business are looking to fill, they want to ensure their team are close-knit and able to add value to each other, its a great working environment with every staff member pulling in the same direction, the working locations will vary but generally will be central to Nottingham and the East Midlands region.

Your role as a Foreman is to lead and coordinate activities against the work programme, working within the Project Teams and promoting health, safety, environmental and construction best practice at every opportunity.

The day to day role as a Foreman

Appraise the risk to the scheme in conjunction with the Project Manager and install and monitor adequate site security.
Ensure completion of site audits and assist Project team.
Ensure Permit to Work systems, Inductions and Briefings are correctly carried out.
Plan and co-ordinate the operational delivery of the project as required.
Oversee the day-to-day construction processes and ensure co-ordination within the site team, client, and contractors.
Attend meetings with and maintain necessary regular contact with clients and stakeholders.

The right Foreman will have

Experience of working for a major sized Civil Engineering Contractor working on water or other civil engineering projects.
Sound knowledge of construction methods, health and safety, and legal regulations as well as a comprehensive understanding and experience of a wide range of construction techniques and best practices.
Experience of managing and developing staff.
Adopt a proactive approach to the environment and customer care of all the stakeholders involved in a project - promotion of positive image of the Company name to protect and promote the brand name.

As a Foreman you'll have

CITB Level 3 Safety Course SMSTS (5 day).
Appropriate CSCS card.
First Aid at Work (4 day).
Experienced in IT Packages e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.

Role: Foreman

Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 + Car/Allowance + Package (varies on experience)

Location: Nottingham (Severn Trent Water Region)

Start Date: As soon as possible

Reporting to: Project Manager
