Are you a passionate Food Technology Teacher looking for a new opportunity from January?
Smile Education is working with a welcoming secondary school in Worcester who are looking for a dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join their team on a maternity cover basis from January 2027 until July 2027.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Food Technology Teacher, or an ECT looking to gain further experience, to join a supportive department and make a real impact with students.
The Role
Teaching Food Technology and DT across KS3
Planning and delivering engaging, practical and well-structured lessons.
Developing students' practical skills, creativity and confidence.
Supporting students with different abilities and learning needs.
Maintaining positive behaviour and a productive classroom environment.
Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback.
Working collaboratively with the wider Design Technology department.We're Looking For
QTS or relevant teaching qualification.
Experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level.
Strong subject knowledge and confidence delivering practical lessons.
Excellent classroom management skills.
A creative, enthusiastic and engaging approach to teaching.
Someone reliable, adaptable and committed to supporting students.What We Offer
