Food Technology Teacher needed in Solihull
Are you an enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher who believes practical learning can transform lives? Are you passionate about helping young people develop confidence, independence and valuable life skills?
Join our agency team and work in a welcoming Alternative Provision supporting students aged 11-16 with SEMH needs, ASD, attachment disorders and behavioural needs.
Location: Solihull
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Ongoing, with potential for permanent placement

About the Role:
As the Food Technology Teacher, you'll deliver engaging practical lessons that develop cooking skills, food preparation techniques, nutrition knowledge and kitchen safety.
You'll encourage students to work collaboratively, build confidence and develop independence while adapting learning to suit individual needs and abilities. Every lesson will provide opportunities for students to experience success through practical achievement.

What We're Looking For:
* QTS or relevant teaching qualification
* Experience teaching Food Technology
* Excellent practical kitchen management skills
* Ability to motivate students with diverse learning needs
* Strong behaviour management and safeguarding knowledge
* Positive, patient and resilient approach

Desirable (but not essential):
* Experience in Alternative Provision or specialist settings
* Knowledge of vocational qualifications
* Experience supporting SEMH learners
* Food Hygiene qualifications
