Description:

Food Technology Teacher – Supply & Long-Term Opportunity

Location: A school in Waterlooville / Havant
Pay: From £140 per day if day to day supply
Preferred by the school: £174.71–£250 per day long term position until the end of the summer term

Humly is currently recruiting for a Food Technology Teacher to support a secondary school in the Waterlooville/Havant area.

The school is ideally looking to find someone who can provide day-to-day supply cover initially, with the potential for the right person to take on a longer-term position through to the end of the summer term.

This could be a great opportunity for an experienced Food Technology teacher, an ECT, or an education professional looking for flexible supply work with the possibility of something more consistent.

The Role

As a Food Technology Teacher, you may be asked to:

* Deliver engaging Food Technology lessons across the secondary age range

* Support pupils in developing their practical and theoretical knowledge

* Follow the school's existing curriculum and lesson plans

* Create a positive and inclusive learning environment

* Maintain high expectations for behaviour and learning

* Support pupils with their progress and development

* Ensure practical lessons are delivered safely and effectively

* Work collaboratively with colleagues within the department

For general day-to-day supply, the minimum rate is £140 per day.

Where a teacher takes on a slightly longer-term role, for example covering a paternity absence, and is teaching their specialist subject without full planning responsibilities, the rate may increase to reflect their subject knowledge and responsibilities.

For longer-term positions involving full teaching responsibilities, including planning and marking, pay will be on the appropriate teaching scale, ranging from £174.71–£250 per day, depending on experience and pay grade.
