Are you a passionate and resilient Food Technology Teacher looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people?

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established Secondary Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Sandwell, seeking a dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join their committed team on a full-time basis. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with secondary-aged pupils who require additional support to re-engage with education.

The Role

* Deliver engaging and practical Food Technology lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 pupils.

* Plan and deliver differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

* Create a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment where students can thrive.

* Build positive relationships with pupils, helping to improve engagement, confidence and achievement.

* Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, pastoral staff and the wider multidisciplinary team to support student progress.

The Ideal Candidate

* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

* Have previous experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level.

* Have proven experience working with pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, ideally within a PRU, alternative provision or specialist setting.

* Be confident managing challenging behaviour using positive behaviour management strategies.

* Be resilient, adaptable and committed to supporting vulnerable young people.

* Be available to work full-time.
