GSL Education are looking for a dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join schools in North Shields, Tyne and Wear.
Job Summary
A Food Technology Teacher plays a crucial role in educating students about various aspects of food, nutrition, and culinary skills. Their responsibilities extend beyond just teaching how to cook; they also cover important topics related to health, culture, and science.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead engaging and interactive lessons that ignite a passion for food and cooking in our students. From mastering basic culinary techniques to exploring international cuisines, you'll empower them to unleash their culinary creativity.
You'll guide students through practical cooking sessions, encouraging teamwork, experimentation, and skill development.
Educate students about the importance of nutrition and healthy eating habits. Through exciting projects and discussions, you'll help them understand the connection between food choices and overall well-being.
Embrace innovative teaching methods to make learning fun and engaging. Whether it's incorporating technology into the kitchen or organizing culinary competitions, you'll keep students excited about learning.

The successful candidate will:
Qualified teacher status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
Passion for food, cooking, and nutrition
Experience working with students in an educational setting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Commitment to fostering a positive learning environment
