Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term (until March 2027)

Coba Education is working with a welcoming secondary school seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis with an immediate start.

This role would suit an engaging teacher who can bring Food Technology to life, helping students develop practical cooking skills, an understanding of nutrition, and confidence in the kitchen. Whether you're an experienced teacher or an ECT, we'd love to hear from you.

Your key responsibilities

Planning and delivering engaging Food Technology lessons
Teaching food preparation, cooking techniques and nutrition
Encouraging creativity, independence and healthy eating habits
Assessing and monitoring student progress
Supporting students of all abilities to achieve their potential
Maintaining high expectations for behaviour and learning
Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed within practical lessons
Contributing positively to the wider life of the department and school

What we're looking for

Must-haves

Experience teaching Food Technology in a UK secondary school
Strong classroom management skills
Passion for practical learning and student progress
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Right to work in the UK
Bonus if you have:

Experience teaching GCSE Food Preparation and Nutrition
Hospitality and Catering experience
Experience supporting SEND students
Recent safeguarding training
A driving licence and access to transport
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
