Food Technology Teacher - Halifax

Protocol Education is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Food Technology Teacher to join welcoming secondary schools across Halifax. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire students and develop their practical cooking skills, nutritional knowledge, and understanding of food science.

The successful candidate will be committed to delivering engaging lessons that encourage creativity, confidence, and academic achievement across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver high-quality Food Technology lessons in line with the national curriculum.
Teach practical and theoretical aspects of food preparation, nutrition, and food safety.
Assess, monitor, and support student progress.
Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment within the classroom and food technology facilities.
Manage classroom behaviour effectively in accordance with school policies.
Contribute to department planning, assessment, and enrichment activities where required.

Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
A passion for inspiring young people and promoting healthy lifestyles.
Ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
Right to work in the UK.
