Job Opportunity: School Food Technician at Prestwich Secondary School
Are you passionate about food and education? Prestwich Secondary School is seeking an experienced Food Technician to join our team. If you have a background in catering or food preparation and previous experience working within a school, we would love to hear from you!
Position: Food Technician
Location: Prestwich Secondary School, Prestwich
Hours: 8:00am to 4:00pm
Salary: Up to £100 per day
Contract: Long-term role until the end of the academic year
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation and delivery of food technology lessons.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment.
Support teachers and students during practical cooking sessions.
Manage and order kitchen supplies and ingredients.
Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and used safely.
Assist in developing and testing recipes for classroom use.
Adhere to health and safety regulations and school policies.Qualifications and Experience:
Previous experience working within a school environment is essential.
Experience in catering or food preparation.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
