Role Overview: We are seeking a passionate and skilled Food Technician to join our team starting in September 2024. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our Food Technology department, ensuring smooth operation of practical lessons, and contributing to an engaging learning experience for our students.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation and organization of materials and equipment for practical food lessons.
Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the food technology rooms and storage areas.
Support teachers during lessons by providing technical assistance and guidance to students.
Manage stock levels, order supplies, and ensure all equipment is in good working order.
Help develop new recipes and food-related projects in collaboration with teaching staff.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
Assist in the setup and organization of school events involving the Food Technology department.Requirements:
Previous experience as a Food Technician or in a similar role is desirable.
A strong interest in food technology and culinary arts.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food preparation and kitchen environments.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
Flexibility and a proactive approach to work.
