Job description
As a Food Production Operative, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the smooth operation of the packing line, while adhering to strict Health and Safety procedures throughout the site. Your detailed job responsibilities include:
* Overseeing the packing line operations and ensuring products are stored safely and accurately.
* Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards by regularly cleaning production equipment and storage facilities.
* Completing paperwork accurately and within set time frames to ensure smooth workflow and traceability.
* Conducting regular quality checks to ensure products meet the required standards.
* Collaborating with team members and promoting effective communication to ensure efficient workflow.
* Assisting with training new team members and providing guidance to ensure adherence to processes and standards.
* Troubleshooting any operational issues that arise during the packing process to minimize downtime.
* Assisting in the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity.
* Ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures, including Health and Safety regulations.
* Adapting to changing demands and being open to additional hours as required.
* Representing the company in a professional manner and promoting a positive work environment.
* Demonstrating a proactive approach to problem-solving and suggesting innovative ideas to improve processes.
Requirements

* Previous experience in food production in a similar industry is beneficial, but full training will be provided.

* Problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot operational issues.
* Positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a friendly and productive work environment.

Shifts & Pay
You will work any 4 days out of 6 (we don’t work Sundays!) , the shifts are 05:30 to 06:30 starts until roughly 18:00, however there may be some dates where you finish slightly later.
