Role: Food and Nutrition Teacher

Location: Hemel Hempstead (Hertfordshire)

Qualified Teacher: £31,350- £42,689

Unqualified Teacher: £21,933- £33,464

Salary: £29,344- £44,919

Part-time or Full-time

Start: September 2024

Supply Desk is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and skilled Food and Nutrition Teacher to join our dynamic faculty in the Hemel Hempstead area. As a Food and Nutrition Teacher, you will play a crucial role in educating and inspiring our students about the importance of healthy eating habits, culinary skills, and the impact of nutrition on overall well-being.

The ideal candidate:

Develop and deliver comprehensive and engaging Food and Nutrition lessons to students across various grade levels, tailoring the curriculum to meet the learning needs and interests of the students.
Teach students fundamental culinary skills, nutrition principles, food safety, and the importance of balanced diets.
Create a positive and interactive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for culinary arts and nutrition.
Provide hands-on cooking experiences and demonstrations, guiding students in practical culinary exercises and recipe development.
Qualifications required:

ü  QTS or Proven experience in teaching Food and Nutrition concepts to students at the (Primary/ High School) level.

ü  Unqualified/ Overseas teachers also welcome to apply.  

ü  Strong understanding of culinary techniques, food safety practices, and nutrition principles.

ü  Passion for teaching and empowering students to make informed and healthy food choices.Top of Form
