Job Opportunity: Food and Beverage Manager

Location: Sandsend, Whitby

Salary: £45,000 per annum + Share of Service Charge + KPI Bonus Scheme

Set in the picturesque coastal village of Sandsend, Whitby, our client is presently transforming a historic estate into a deluxe wellness-led sanctuary. This venue is part of a grand £100 million development aimed at creating sumptuous interiors, an indulgent spa and gym, luxurious lodges, and unforgettable dining experiences. As they continue to reimagine this majestic location, they are in search of a seasoned Food and Beverage Manager to lead the transformation of their restaurant and bar operations into a benchmark for luxury hospitality.

About the Role:

As the Food and Beverage Manager, you will be at the heart of our operations, ensuring that our dining and bar services exceed guest expectations and maintain the highest standards of service. Your responsibilities will include:

* Overseeing the recruitment, training, and management of the food and beverage team.

* Collaborating closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team to deliver excellent food offerings.

* Working with the Head Grower to maximize the use of produce from our on-site kitchen garden.

* Ensuring exceptional guest experiences across all service areas including breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner.

* Managing all business controls such as stock, labor, and general expenditure to ensure profitability.

* Maintaining strong inter-departmental communications and upholding brand standards.

About You:

The ideal candidate for this role should have:

* Extensive experience in Food and Beverage Management within a high-end hospitality environment.

* Proven leadership skills with a track record of inspiring, motivating, and training a diverse team.

* Strong analytical and planning skills, capable of managing budgets and financial accountability.

* Experience in overseeing comprehensive service operations that include dining and bar management.

* A commitment to excellence in guest service and team member engagement.
