Facilities Management Lead (Interim/Temporary)
Are you an experienced Facilities Management professional ready to lead a diverse operational estate?
We are seeking an Interim Facilities Management Lead to take responsibility for the day-to-day management, compliance, maintenance and operational performance of a portfolio of approximately 30 properties.
You will lead a small but dedicated FM team, manage contractors and service providers, and ensure that all facilities remain safe, compliant, efficient and fit for purpose. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll drive service improvements, oversee planned and reactive maintenance, manage FM contracts, and play a key role in business continuity and emergency response.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage facilities operations across a multi-site operational estate.
* Ensure compliance with health & safety, fire safety, COSHH, statutory and environmental regulations.
* Manage planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive repairs and contractor performance.
* Oversee FM budgets, procurement activities, service contracts and KPI delivery.
* Manage facilities helpdesk/inbox activities, service requests and operational issues.
* Produce compliance and performance reports, identifying risks and solutions.
* Lead space planning, office moves, workplace improvements and business continuity arrangements.
* Develop, coach and support the Facilities Management team to deliver excellent service standards.
About You
* Experienced Facilities Manager with strong leadership and contractor management skills.
* Knowledge of building maintenance, compliance, workplace services and health & safety legislation.
* IOSH, NEBOSH or equivalent Health & Safety qualification.
* Able to manage competing priorities, make sound decisions and drive continuous improvement.
* Strong stakeholder management, reporting and budget management experience.
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
