Fluid Systems Engineers
Initial 12 Month Contract - 2 days per fortnight on site
£65.98 per hour (Inside IR35)

Position Overview: We are seeking a numbe of talented and motivated Fluid Systems Engineers to join a dynamic team. As a Fluid Systems Engineer, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and integration of fluid systems within submarine platforms. You will work on a variety of projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the performance, reliability, and safety of fluid systems onboard submarines.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and analyse fluid systems, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and cooling systems, to meet technical requirements and performance objectives.
Develop detailed engineering designs, specifications, and drawings for fluid systems components and subsystems.
Conduct engineering analyses, simulations, and calculations to assess fluid dynamics, thermal management, and system performance.
Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, and structural engineers, to integrate fluid systems into overall submarine designs.
Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and technical meetings to identify and resolve issues related to fluid systems.
Support the procurement, installation, and testing of fluid systems components and equipment onboard submarines.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and support staff as needed.Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
Proven experience (5+ years) in the design, analysis, and integration of fluid systems in marine, aerospace, or defense applications.
Proficiency in engineering software tools such as CAD, CFD, and FEA for fluid dynamics and thermal analysis.
Strong knowledge of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer principles.
Familiarity with relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices for fluid systems design and safety.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Eligibility for security clearance.Due to the nature of this role you will need to have excellent team skills, be self-motivated, fast-learning and have the ability to prioritise and manage your own work with minimal guidance.
