FLT / Production Operative
Location: Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk
Pay: £14.50 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 2:00pm
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Working Hours: 40 hours per week with a paid 30-minute lunch break
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced FLT / Production Operative to join a busy food production facility in Bury St Edmunds. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a stable, full-time position with consistent weekday hours and an early finish every afternoon.
This is a varied role combining Counterbalance Forklift Truck (FLT) driving with hands-on food production and warehouse duties. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment and willing to support the wider team when required.
Key Responsibilities
* Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently
* Loading and unloading deliveries
* Moving stock, raw materials and finished products around the warehouse and production areas
* Supporting food production processes
* Packing, labelling and preparing products for dispatch
* Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
* Following food safety, health and safety, and company procedures
* Assisting with general warehouse and production duties as required
Requirements
* Valid Counterbalance FLT licence (essential)
* Previous experience operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck
* Experience within a warehouse, production or food manufacturing environment is advantageous
* Reliable, punctual and hardworking
* Good attention to detail
* Able to work effectively as part of a team
* Willing to carry out both FLT and production duties
