Description:
Key Responsibilities / duties:
* Lifting palletized material from the production line and stacking it in storage areas in the yard paying particular attention to the documentation, yard conditions & adhering to safety and quality standards.
* Lifting completed material from the storage locations to load HGV vehicle trailers, ensuring particular attention to the documentation & adhering to safety and quality standards.
* Processing deliveries of packaging material & storing in our racking or pallet storage areas internally & externally
* Housekeeping duties, such as blowing, sweeping & collecting spilled pellet / rubbish to keep the terminal as tidy as is reasonably practicable
* Control the loading process – you must ensure drivers are following the safety procedures on the site. You must challenge unsafe behaviour and cease loading if drivers do not adhere to the rules
* Carry out, as required, quality checks on palletized material during production and loading activities
* Count accurately completed storage locations during production & again after loading activities
* Ensure any errors/mistakes in loading are logged & reported to the HSEQ team for continuous improvement purposes
* Ensure a courteous & professional tone when speaking to visiting drivers & report abusive behaviour
* Co-operate with the HSEQ team with audits, investigations, meetings, etc.
* Assist visiting drivers, as far as is reasonable, with their requirements on site.
* Support other required positions / functions during times of limited resource as far as is reasonable
* Any other reasonable request as instructed by the Site Manager / Operations Manager

Purpose of Position:
Reporting to the warehouse supervisor, the purpose of this position is to facilitate the movement requirements for finished packed product on the logistics terminal. You will have dialogue with our client, our staff and third-party hauliers on a daily basis. As a forklift truck operator, you will be required to carry out the below functions
Our client is looking for someone to start on the 24th of June 2024 for 6 weeks then this can become a permanent position from October 2024 for the correct candidate
