Position: FLT Counterbalance & Machine Operator
Location: East Yorkshire / Driffield area
Pay Rate: £14.71 per hour
Shift Pattern: Monday to Thursday (Enjoy a 3-day weekend!)
Hours: 06:30 AM to 06:00 PM
Environment: Slaughter and primary poultry processing environment
Opportunity Overview

To join an award-winning, family-owned meat producer known for delivering high-quality products. Priding itself on maintaining a modern, efficient, and high-standard processing facility. Currently seeking a reliable and skilled FLT Counterbalance / Machine Operator to join our team in the processing and production department. Full training in the machine operating side of the role will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

Machine Operation

Operate primary processing machinery within the slaughter department. Training provided.
Perform basic machine setups , adjustments, and routine checks to maintain standards.
Report any mechanical faults or processing issues immediately to the engineering team.
Ensure throughput targets are met while maintaining high quality control.
Forklift Operation

Operate a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely within a fast-paced environment.
Supply production lines with necessary materials to ensure uninterrupted workflows.
Stack and organise pallets and containers in compliance with strict H & S guidelines.
Health, Safety & Hygiene

Work strictly within a slaughter environment , adhering to humane handling, strict biosecurity, and hygiene regulations.
Maintain a clean work area , participating in deep cleaning schedules of machines and workspace as required.
Follow strict health and safety protocols , including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Candidate Requirements

Valid FLT Counterbalance Licence (RTITB, ITSSAR, or equivalent accredited body).
Previous machine operation experience , ideally within a food manufacturing, agricultural, or processing environment.
Comfortable working in a slaughter/abattoir environment , handling live poultry crates and primary processing by-products.
