Gi Group are seeking Side Loader Drivers to work for our client based in New Holland (DN19), within their Dispatch department.
Do you have over 1 year experience driving a FLT and an in-date B1 Licence? We have new roles available get in touch as soon as possible.
Our client has a drive for service and people, setting high standards in the quality of product and the overall operations process, supplying market-leading multi-product solutions including structural timber and bespoke milling services.
Pay rate - £11.79 per hour
Hours of work - (Apply online only)hrs / (Apply online only)hrs Monday to Friday, regular overtime available
Contract type- temporary to permanent, ongoing position
** Own transport will be required due to location **
Purpose of Role:
To assist in the day to day operations of a busy Timber yard. To load and unload vehicles in a safe and time effective manner. Maintenance of interdepartmental communication to ensure cohesive working in order to fulfil customer requirements.
Duties include
* Ensure the safe and damage free loading and unloading of vehicles using a side loader truck
* Moving stock to and from various areas on site
* Picking / marshalling orders
* Stock rotation (ensure old / correct stocks are used to fulfil orders)
* Achieving and maintaining set loading efficiency standards in a safe manner
* Maintaining the Yard in a tidy, organised and structured condition
* Ensure product is clearly labelled up to support the accurate off loading at customers
* Follow customer requests on loading manifests
* Report any incidents and near misses
* Promote health and safety on site, by ensuring visitors wear correct PPE and observe site rules
