FLT Counterbalance/Stores Operative

Description:

We are recruiting for an experienced Forklift Counterbalance Driver / Stores Operative to join a busy manufacturing and engineering environment in Coventry.

This is a varied role combining forklift operation, goods-in, stock control and general stores duties. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring components, raw materials and finished products are accurately received, stored and supplied to production areas.

Hours:

Days: Monday to Thursday 7:30am-4pm/ Friday 7:30am-12:30pm
Nights: Monday to Tuesday 5:55pm-6:55am/ Wednesday 6:25pm-6:55amPay: £13 per hour

Contract: Temporary to Permanent

Key Responsibilities

Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently.
Loading and unloading deliveries.
Booking goods in and out using internal systems and paperwork.
Picking, packing and issuing parts and materials to production teams.
Organising and maintaining stores locations.
Carrying out stock checks and inventory control activities.
Identifying and reporting stock discrepancies.
Ensuring materials are stored correctly and safely.
Assisting with dispatch activities and preparation of customer orders.
Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
Supporting production and warehouse operations as required.
Adhering to all health and safety procedures.

Requirements

Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence (RTITB, ITSSAR or equivalent).
Previous experience within a stores, warehouse or manufacturing environment.
Experience loading and unloading vehicles.
Good stock control and inventory management skills.
Ability to accurately complete paperwork and use computer-based systems.
Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
