FLT Counterbalance Driver (Nights)

Location: Armthorpe, Doncaster, DN3
Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off Nights 18:30 - 06:30
Pay Rate: £15.70 per hour
Average Hours: 38.5 hours per week over an 8-week shift rotation

The Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and reliable FLT Counterbalance Driver to join their night shift operation at their Doncaster site. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a busy manufacturing and logistics environment where safety, efficiency, and teamwork are key.
Working a 4 on 4 off night shift pattern, you will be responsible for the safe movement of products throughout the site, ensuring materials are supplied to production areas and finished goods are loaded and dispatched efficiently.

Shift Details

12-hour night shifts
11 paid hours per shift
2 x 30-minute unpaid breaks
Average of 38.5 hours per week across an 8-week shift rotation
Rate of pay: £15.70 per hour

Key Responsibilities

Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently
Loading products yard and transporting it to the factory
Moving completed and finished products from the factory into the yard
Loading and unloading HGV vehicles as required
Storing products in designated locations within the yard
Carrying out daily pre-use FLT checks and reporting any defects
Following all site health and safety procedures
Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
Assisting with general yard and warehouse duties when required

Requirements

Essential

Valid and in-date Counterbalance FLT Licence
Previous Counterbalance FLT operating experience
Strong awareness of health and safety practices
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable and committed with a positive work ethic

Desirable

Minimum 6 months' Counterbalance FLT experience
Experience working within a manufacturing, warehouse or industrial environment
Experience loading and unloading HGVs

The ideal candidate will be an experienced FLT Driver who is confident operating a Counterbalance truck in a fast-paced environment. Candidates with more extensive FLT experience are particularly encouraged to apply.
