My client is looking to recruit a Flood Risk Consultant to join their water team in London. You will join a well-established team to lead models on a range of projects locally and nationally. They work on interesting projects within residential, commercial, energy, nuclear and defence sectors.
We are looking for someone who has 3 - 6 years of experience focusing on hydrological and hydraulic modelling, using Flood Modeler Pro or TUFLOW. You must have substantial experience undertaking flood risk assessments in accordance with NPPF and/or TAN 15.
Your roles and responsibilities will include:
Playing an active role in design and site meetings, site inspections and progress reporting
Hydrological and hydraulic modelling using TUFLOW, Flood Modeler Pro and QGIS
Preparing flood risk assessments, bid proposals and fee proposals
Research and business development of potential new clients
Assist with work winning, budgetary control of project finances and developing the water & environmental team
Attend client and regulatory meetings
