Description:
Flexographic Printer required
We are looking for an organised, motivated flexographic printer with a keen eye for detail. This is a skilled job and full training provided but needs to be someone with a high level of detail (looking at print) and preferably some experience with machines – hands on.
Willing to work on a machine that has back-to-back jobs so a positive work ethic. Potential for a 4-day week 8am -6pm Monday to Thursday or 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday. Some flexibility there.
Responsibilities
Running and maintaining a flexographic printing press in a manufacturing capacity.
Carry out quality checks and press adjustments for each print job
Identifying problems and fixing faults from start to finish
Manage materials, plates, dies and inks relating to each individual jobs
Follow job folder specifications to a tee
Ensure compliance to ISO9001 and 14001 certifications.
Maintain a high standard of housekeeping at all times, adhering to all health and safety procedures
To work with the production manager to continually improve quality, reduce wastage, notify any faults/delays, that could affect the customer journey.
The Ideal Candidate
Experience using flexographic printing machines
Experience including plate mounting, printing set up, print run, quality control, general maintenance and clean down process
Working part of a team reporting into Production Manager
Excellent mechanical and practical skills
Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
Self-Motivated and flexible to needs of the business
