Job Type: Permanent, full-time
Shift Pattern: 12-hour shifts, days & nights
The Opportunity
We are recruiting experienced Number 1 and Number 2 Flexographic Printers to join an established and growing flexible packaging manufacturer based in Leeds.
This is an excellent opportunity for skilled printers looking to develop their careers within a modern manufacturing environment, working with advanced printing equipment and a supportive production team.
We are looking for individuals who take pride in their work, maintain high quality standards and can contribute to an efficient, safe and productive printing operation.
Key Responsibilities
* Set up and operate flexographic printing presses.
* Ensure print jobs meet customer specifications and quality requirements.
* Carry out colour matching and maintain consistent print quality throughout production.
* Adjust machine settings, registrations and tensions as required.
* Work with sleeves, anilox rollers and doctor blades.
* Monitor machine performance and identify potential production issues.
* Troubleshoot printing faults and resolve problems where possible.
* Complete production records, quality checks and traceability documentation.
* Maintain high standards of housekeeping, hygiene and workplace safety.
* Work closely with shift managers, ink technicians and production colleagues.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
Candidate Requirements
* Previous experience operating flexographic printing presses is essential.
* Experience working as a Number 1 or Number 2 Printer.
* Strong understanding of print quality and colour consistency.
* Good technical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet production deadlines.
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
* Competent IT skills and the ability to complete production documentation.
* A proactive attitude with a commitment to health, safety and quality standards.
